A Silver Award winning competition entry, this project was the response to finding a new use for corrugated cardboard.
Research revealed that existing children’s cutlery packaging is not as eco-friendly, cost-effective or attractive to the end user as it could be.
The design response therefore took into consideration the branding (with suggested name and corresponding character development), as well as packaging treatment.
The project was commended for its sensitivity to production procedures and prices, the supply chain, sustainability and finally – the retail market. The prototype, (featured here), was silk screen printed on N-flute grade single ply corrugated board and submitted with point of sale and presentation boards.
